Donation of 2000 euros supports local charities
On 18 December 2023, the medium-sized drive technology specialist halstrup-walcher presented a donation of 2000 euros to two local charities to support their commitment and important work in the community. As in the past, the sporting activities of halstrup-walcher employees were rewarded with a donation per kilometre.
The total amount raised was rounded up by the management. The donation was divided up and half was handed over to RIDE2LIVE e.V. and half to the Kirchzarten Community Foundation.
The RIDE2LIVE association is committed to projects in the Dreisamtal that support people suffering from diseases and actively supports those affected in the fight against cancer. For example, e-bike leases have been provided to the Katharinenhöhe aftercare clinic in Schönwald for many years so that children and young people can go on bike tours during their rehabilitation. In addition, many small projects are implemented as direct and unbureaucratic help for families, such as the purchase of a special cargo e-bike for a mother suffering from cancer who was no longer able to drive and can now transport her three children to daycare again thanks to the support.

says Benjamin Rudiger, who is a member of the RIDE2LIVE board.
The Kirchzarten Community Foundation supports projects that are of a social, societal, sporting or cultural nature and promote community life in Kirchzarten. For example, meetings are organised in the Talvogtei for widowed people so that they can gradually participate in social life again after a stroke of fate. As many families in need are afraid to ask for help, the community foundation's good network is of great value when it comes to proactively approaching those affected.

says Christian Sura, who manages the business of halstrup-walcher GmbH in Kirchzarten together with Jürgen Walcher.
The regular support from halstrup-walcher helps the charities to further expand their programmes and projects.
