halstrup-walcher GmbH strengthens commitment to sustainability with staff position
halstrup-walcher GmbH is pleased to announce that a staff position for sustainability has been established within the company under the name Corporate Sustainability as of 1 January 2024. This initiative underlines the company's commitment to environmentally friendly practices, social responsibility and long-term sustainability, which has been continuously expanded in decentralised working groups since 2015.
Melanie Wiederle, who reports directly to the Management Board, has the title of "Corporate Sustainability Manager" and is responsible for the management and overall coordination of sustainability activities within the company. This includes the development and implementation of strategies to minimise environmental and social impacts, use resources efficiently and promote corporate responsibility.
Over the past few years, the implementation organisation for sustainability initiatives at halstrup-walcher has grown and currently consists of more than ten representatives from all departments, who jointly drive forward individual projects and activities in parallel with their functional roles. The aim is to promote sustainable practices and ensure that business activities are in line with the highest environmental and ethical standards.

says Jürgen Walcher, who manages the company together with Christian Sura.
