halstrup-walcher supports employees with German courses
Diversity is a core value at halstrup-walcher, and that is why the company's doors are open to people of different backgrounds. As an employer, the company sees it as its duty to also assist with language needs and offers German courses exclusively for employees.
Free lessons meet with great response
In an age of constant, and unpredictable change, it is incredibly important to be flexible and open to acquiring new skills. Especially when it comes to learning a language. Because it has been shown that integration is easiest for everyone when language is not a barrier.
Since diversity is one of the core values at halstrup-walcher GmbH, the company's doors are open to people of different origins and nationalities. And as an employer, the drive specialist from the Dreisamtal sees it as an important task to also provide support with the language needs of its employees. This helps employees considerably both in organizing the work process and in their daily lives.
Since fall 2022, free German courses have therefore been offered exclusively for employees, with a consistently positive response.
German teacher Caroline von Roeder says about her collaboration with halstrup-walcher:
"At halstrup-walcher, there are two German courses at B1/B2 level and one German course at A level. The participants in all courses are very motivated and interested. Topics include grammar as well as many everyday situations and vocabulary. Some participants come from Ukraine, many from other Eastern European and African nations. The lessons are aimed at being able to cope with everyday situations linguistically independently.
The atmosphere in class is consistently positive and I have the feeling that the participants enjoy this time - just as I do. I like coming to halstrup-walcher because I think there is a positive atmosphere there. You can feel the values that are lived in a family business with personal management."
The offer of free German courses will be maintained for the time being. This is because the response is positive not only among the participants, but colleagues and managers also see significant progress in mastering the language. In short, the classes are a profitable measure for everyone involved.
